How to get a device

Equipment is available to residents of North Yorkshire who have barriers to accessing digital devices by referral, this could include:-

  • Vulnerable people that may be socially isolated.
  • People accessing employment skills and training support.
  • Older people being supported to enable them to access services and stay in touch with friends and family.
  • Children to enable them to access education or homework where cost is a barrier.
  • Families with no or limited access to the internet.

The majority of devices issued through Reboot North Yorkshire are laptop computers, sometimes we also have smartphones, digital tablets and smart hubs but these are not always available.

If you would like to access a device through the scheme please get in touch with your local library, digital hub or support worker. They will be able to complete a device request on your behalf and submit it to Reboot North Yorkshire.

We will process the request, notify you when the device is ready to pick up and arrange for it to be dropped off at your local library for collection.

If you have had a device and no longer need it the device must be returned to RebootNY. Please see - Donate Equipment – for more information on how to do this.

If you, or someone you know, has received a reboot device and needs support on how to get started and use it there is a network of local trusted organisations available to help, their contact details can be found on the Digital Skills and Support page.
